​NICOLA VANN (ARTISTIC DIRECTOR)

Nicola (Nickel - uh) started Bardfly in 2023 after ruminating on the damn thing for a decade. She aims to be relatively hands-off, and every production is a major collaboration, even when she's at the helm. Her vision for the company is the lovechild of her love of Shakespeare, her belief that live theatre should feel a lot more like live music, her time at UNC Chapel Hill as a Morehead-Cain scholar, and her international research conducted on alternative theatre venues.
